Affiliate Program Terms & Rules

Last updated: September 24, 2026

These terms govern your participation in the SparkReceipt Affiliate Program (the "Program"). The Program is operated by SparkReceipt Oy ("SparkReceipt", "we", "us") and administered through our partner platform, Tolt, at sparkreceipt.tolt.io. By enrolling as a partner, you agree to these rules, to our Terms of Service, and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not join or continue in the Program.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes are communicated through the partner portal or by email, and continued participation after a change means you accept the updated terms.

1. Enrollment and eligibility

  • Joining is free. There is no approval process, no fee, and no minimum audience requirement.
  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract.
  • You must provide accurate account and payout information and keep it current.
  • SparkReceipt employees and contractors, and members of their households, are not eligible to earn commission on their own subscriptions.
  • We may decline or remove any partner at our discretion, including for the conduct described in Section 6.

2. Commission

  • Partners in the current program earn 60% recurring commission on the subscription payments of customers they refer, for the first 24 months of each referred customer's subscription. Commission is calculated on the amount the customer actually pays, in US dollars (USD), excluding taxes and payment-processing fees.
  • Commission is recurring: as long as the referred customer keeps paying within the 24-month window, you keep earning on each payment.
  • Commission applies to recurring subscription payments only. One-time purchases are outside the program and earn no commission: this includes the Founder pack onboarding fee, credit packs, and any other one-off product or service we sell. When a one-time product is bought in the same transaction as a subscription (the Founder pack includes a year of Elite, for example), only the one-time amount is excluded. The subscription part of that payment earns commission as usual, and so do the customer's later renewals within the 24-month window.
  • Commission rates may differ between partner groups, and some earlier rates are closed to new enrollment. Your applicable rate is shown in your partner portal.

3. Referral tracking

  • Referrals are tracked by cookie for 60 days from the last click on your referral link. If a visitor subscribes within that window, the referral is attributed to you.
  • Attribution is last-click: if a customer clicks more than one partner's link, the most recent link within the window is credited.
  • Tracking works through your unique referral link and the URL parameters ?ref, ?via, and ?aff (for example sparkreceipt.com/?ref=your-name). You can create personalized links in the partner portal.
  • Do not attempt to alter, hide, intercept, or manipulate referral tracking.

4. Payouts

  • Minimum payout threshold: $50.00. Balances below the threshold roll over until they are met.
  • Payout term: NET-30. Approved commissions are paid roughly 30 days after they are earned, which also allows time for the refund and chargeback window in Section 5 to pass.
  • Payout method: payouts are made primarily by PayPal; any additional methods enabled for the Program are shown in your partner portal.
  • You are responsible for any taxes on your commission income. SparkReceipt does not withhold taxes on your behalf.

5. Reversals and clawbacks

Commission is provisional until it clears. A commission is reversed if the referred payment is refunded (our Terms of Service allow a refund within 15 days of a website trial conversion), charged back, or found to result from fraudulent, self-referred, or otherwise prohibited activity. Reversed commissions are deducted from your balance.

6. Prohibited practices

Violating any of the following may result in withheld or reversed commissions and removal from the Program.

6.1 Brand and trademark bidding

This is the rule we enforce most strictly, because it takes credit for customers who were already looking for us.

  • Do not bid on, or run paid ads against, "SparkReceipt", our brand terms, our domain, or misspellings and close variants of them, on any search or advertising network (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta, and others).
  • If you run any paid advertising, you must add "SparkReceipt" (and close variants such as "spark receipt" and common misspellings) as negative keywords in every paid campaign, so your ads never appear on searches for our brand or domain.
  • Do not use sparkreceipt.com, any SparkReceipt subdomain, or our name in the display URL, final URL, or landing page of any ad.

6.2 Paid traffic must go through your own page first

Paid advertising is allowed only when it drives traffic to your own website, landing page, or media first, and your audience then follows your ?ref link to sparkreceipt.com from there.

Commissions from ads that link directly to sparkreceipt.com do not qualify and are automatically blocked by our tracking. This includes direct paid traffic from Google, YouTube, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, LinkedIn, Reddit, and X (Twitter).

6.3 Other prohibited conduct

  • Self-referrals: referring yourself, your own accounts, or purchasing through your own link to earn commission on your own subscription.
  • Cookie stuffing, forced clicks, pop-unders, iframes, or any method that drops referral cookies without a genuine, intentional click.
  • Spam: unsolicited email, SMS, or messaging, and any promotion that violates anti-spam or advertising law.
  • Misrepresentation: false or misleading claims about SparkReceipt's pricing, features, results, or refund policy; implying that you are SparkReceipt, an employee, or an official representative; or offering unauthorized discounts, coupons, or rebates.
  • Impersonation and squatting: registering domain names, social accounts, or app-store listings that contain "SparkReceipt" or confusingly similar terms.
  • Injected or incentivized traffic: toolbars, extensions, adware, or checkout-injection, and paying or rewarding people to click your link without genuine interest.

7. Use of our brand and materials

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the SparkReceipt name and the marketing assets we provide (through the partner portal, or on request to support@sparkreceipt.com) solely to promote SparkReceipt under these terms. Do not modify our logo or brand assets, and do not use them in any way that implies endorsement of unrelated products or that misrepresents your relationship with us. All goodwill from your use of the marks belongs to SparkReceipt.

8. Relationship of the parties

You participate as an independent contractor. Nothing in the Program creates an employment, agency, partnership, or joint-venture relationship, and you have no authority to make commitments on SparkReceipt's behalf.

9. Changes and termination

  • We may change the commission rate, cookie window, payout terms, or these rules at any time. Changes apply to commissions earned after the change takes effect.
  • Either party may leave the Program at any time. You can stop promoting and close your partner account whenever you like.
  • On termination for a violation of these terms, unpaid and unapproved commissions may be forfeited. On termination without cause, commissions already approved are paid out under the normal schedule.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Program is provided "as is". We make no guarantee of any level of earnings, referral volume, or availability. To the extent permitted by law, SparkReceipt is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in the Program.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
