1. Agreement to Terms

By viewing or using this Website, which can be accessed at https://www.sparkreceipt.com, you are agreeing to be bound by all these Website's Terms of Use and agree with any applicable local laws. If you disagree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from accessing this Website or using the Service. All materials in this Website are protected by trade mark law and copyright.

For purposes of this Terms of Use, the terms "company", "we" and "our" refers to the Company.

2. Privacy Policy

We advise you to read our privacy policy regarding our user data collection. It will help you better understand our practices.

3. Use License

Permission is granted to temporarily download one copy of the materials on our Website for personal, non-commercial transitory viewing only. This is the grant of a license, not a transfer of title, and under this license you may not:

6. Unlimited Receipt Scans Policy

Our "Unlimited Receipt Scans" policy is designed to offer flexibility and convenience, allowing users to scan a "practically unlimited" number of receipts for personal or business purposes. However, to maintain the quality and integrity of the service for all users, we reserve the right to limit or restrict access in cases where we determine that an obscene amount of documents are being scanned, at our discretion. While automation is allowed within our provided mass upload and inbound email receipt scanning services, excessive or abusive use may be considered a violation of this policy. Any attempts to reverse-engineer our API or automate receipt submissions outside of these approved methods are strictly prohibited. Additionally, we may delay or reject the processing of document scans if needed to ensure the stability and performance of the platform for all users, ensuring fair access and preventing any negative impact on the overall system. This ensures that the service remains reliable and accessible for everyone.

7. Corrections

There may be information or materials appearing on our Website that contains technical, typographical, or photographic errors. We will not promise that any of the materials in this Website are accurate, complete, or current. We reserve the right to change and update the materials contained on its Website at any time without prior notice.

9. Refund Policy

Refund eligibility depends on how and where you purchased your subscription. The subsections below describe the policy that applies to each purchase channel.

9.1. Trial Conversion Refunds

This subsection applies to refund requests for subscriptions that began as a free trial and subsequently converted into a paid subscription.

You may request a refund of your paid subscription within fifteen (15) days after the date your free trial ended and the paid subscription began. Such refunds will be calculated as follows:

Refund amount = (90% × original paid subscription amount) − (US $0.15 × number of documents scanned, uploaded, or otherwise processed in your account during the paid subscription period)

SparkReceipt retains the remaining 10% of the original subscription amount to cover non-refundable payment-processing and customer-support costs already incurred on your account, and the per-document deduction reflects AI scanning and processing services already rendered.

Example: A US $199.00 annual subscription with 50 documents processed during the paid period would result in a refund of: ($199.00 × 0.90) − (50 × $0.15) = $179.10 − $7.50 = US $171.60.

Conditions:

  • Refund requests must be submitted within the 15-day window described above. Requests outside this window are not eligible under this section.
  • This section applies only to subscriptions purchased directly through the SparkReceipt website. Trial conversions billed through Apple's App Store or Google Play are governed by those platforms' policies.
  • If the per-document deduction equals or exceeds the 90% amount, no refund will be issued under this section.
  • To request a refund under this section, contact support@sparkreceipt.com from the email address on your account and include the order details.

9.2. Refunds for Google Play Purchases

For purchases made through Google Play, please note that refund requests must comply with Google Play's policies. To initiate a refund, please follow these steps:

  • Open the Google Play Store app
  • Tap on your profile icon and navigate to "Payments & Subscriptions" > "Order History"
  • Locate the transaction, and if eligible, select "Refund"
  • Alternatively, contact us with your Google account details, and we will initiate processing the refund for you

Refund eligibility on Google Play is subject to their policies, and we cannot override Google's final decision.

9.3. Refunds for App Store Purchases

If you made your purchase through Apple's App Store, refund requests must be submitted directly through Apple. To request a refund:

  • Open the App Store and tap your profile
  • Go to "Purchase History," find the transaction, and select "Report a Problem"
  • Choose the reason for your refund and submit your request through Apple's refund process

Please note that Apple handles all refund decisions for purchases made through the App Store. We are unable to process or influence refunds for purchases made via the App Store.

10. Modification of Terms of Use

Company may revise or include supplemental terms in these Terms of Use on its Website from time to time without prior notice. Please ensure that you check the current Terms of Use every time you use the Website. By using this Website, you are agreeing to be bound by the current version of these Terms of Use.

11. Applicable Law

Any claim related to our Website shall be governed by the laws of Finland without regards to its conflict of law provisions.
